  • ABOUT SYMON OLIVERI

Symon Oliveri- Founder of Contigo Child and Family

Symon Oliveri is the founder of Contigo Child and Family and an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with nearly 20 years of experience supporting families.

She holds a master’s degree in social work and a bachelor’s degree in social science and has worked across intensive family services, school counselling, child and infant mental health, perinatal mental health, and trauma services. Symon has also worked with children and families across Africa, Europe, and Central and South America, shaping a deep respect for the many ways family's parent, heal, and connect.

Symon is deeply passionate about supporting people through the rollercoaster of parenthood and the transformative process of becoming a parent. She provides support across the perinatal period, including preconception, pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood, and has a strong clinical focus on trauma therapy for women. Her work is trauma-informed, relational, and carefully paced, with close attention to emotional safety and the ways trauma can show up in the body, relationships, and sense of self.

Symon also works closely with neurodivergent parents and families. As a neurodivergent parent of neurodivergent children, she brings lived experience of navigating parenting, systems, and support alongside specialist training.

Symon also has experience providing clinical supervision and training across perinatal, child, and trauma-informed services. She has published a range of blogs, resources, and journal articles, contributing to ongoing conversations around perinatal mental health, trauma, attachment, and neuro-affirming practice.
